When we first arrived in Valencia in 2011, we were full of excitement — and more than a little overwhelmed. We had to figure out everything step by step: navigating the rental market in fast-flowing Spanish, setting up padrón and NIE appointments, comparing schools, buying our first home, and surviving our first renovation that genuinely tested both our patience and our budget.
What began as a personal journey of trial and error slowly became something more. Friends started asking us for advice, then friends of friends. We realised that the experience we’d lived — both the challenges and the lessons — could make the path far clearer for others.
That’s how Livin’Valencia was born. Not from theory. From real life.

From the beginning, we wanted to be different. No commissions from sellers. No hidden agendas. Just one simple promise: we work for you, and only you, on a clear fixed fee. No job was too big or too small for Laura. She guided us through every step of the process with an incredibly friendly yet professional approach. Not speaking the language ourselves, we would never have been able to handle all the bureaucratic elements of the move without her expertise. As a Belgian family of six, we selected Livin’Valencia out of 5 potential service providers, to plan and execute our relocation to Valencia from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The main reason for our initial selection, and differentiator with the other providers, was the very personal approach… Starting with their ability to communicate perfectly in spanish, english, french and Italian.
This was our sixth international move, some of which we performed with the most renowned relocations companies in the world, so we did know very well what to expect upfront.
Livin’Valencia exceeded all those expectations by a mile.
They did not only show that they do have all the required local knowledge but also that they are very aware of the impact that such a move has on a family and the stress it brings. They managed to set a timeline in which they would define the ideal area, find a property, and arrange for a school that could be attended by all our four children (aged 7 to 16).
We ended up in a place we love, and the children are attending a school in which they were received in the most magnificent way.
Livin’Valencia managed perfectly to let us do this all within the budget that we had communicated. In addition, they took care off, and guided us through the administrative errands to be performed with the Spanish government and banks. They even supported us with the legal requirements we had. None of our questions or remarks were ever too much and all of our perceived problems were always resolved with a smile.
The stipulated timeline was perfectly respected and the cherry on the cake was that they managed to provide us with the confidence and tranquility throughout the whole process. This is something which, even with an experienced family like us, is remarkable.
Livin’Valencia, in our experience, do provide the most complete and professional service and by far for the best value for money.
We do not plan to move soon again, but if/when we do, we’ll ask Livin’Valencia to support us, even if we move to another place than Valencia.

What a wonderful experience it was for us to work with Laura and Francois to purchase our first property in Spain. We live in the United States, and we wanted to purchase our first property in Spain as an investment property. We did not know anything about real state laws and requirements to purchase a property in Spain.
With Laura and Francois’ help we found our perfect place. They did everything for us. We selected the properties we liked, they did an investment return analysis of our favorite properties, we choose the top ten, they setup all the appointments for us to visit them all within a couple of days. Once we made the final choice, they helped us with all the paperwork, bank requirements, everything! Could not have been happier with the results.
Our property is out for short term rentals and within a week we got three bookings. Looking forward to work with them again when we purchase our second property.

From the introduction to the Valencia’s real state market situation, its rules and regulations, through the apartment search and evaluation, the price negotiation according to the market and all the administrative aspects until the signing of the notarial deed; the experience we lived has been extremely positive.
And it didn’t end there; after the purchase, we were very glad to have François’ help for the coordination and the follow up until the completion of the refreshment works. François ensured that the works end in the requested deadline allowing us to get into the house onetime for my daughters summer school. Laura and François have a very good network of highly reliable and professional technicians such as renovation agents.
